Days after being released from ICE on immigration charges, 21 Savage turned himself to Georgia’s Liberty County Sheriff’s Department for felony theft by deception.

A warrant had been issued for 21 in October of 2016 after the rapper allegedly stiffed a concert promoter. According to TMZ, Savage got a $9,500 advance to play a show in South Georgia and then another $7,500 when he arrived at the venue. He left without performing after pocketing the second payment.

Police didn't act on the warrant at the time. However, the venue owner recontacted with the Sheriff's department when 21 was all over the news for his immigration issues and they revived the warrant

Savage was released on his own recognizance after turning himself in today.

21's lawyer Abbi Taylor claims this is no big deal.

"Mr. Joseph has committed no criminal offense. We look forward to an amicable resolution between the parties in the near future with no criminal implications whatsoever," she said.

The felony charge could be an issue during his upcoming immigration hearing. So expect Savage to quickly pay whatever debt he has to the venue and some.
