50 Cent Bait: Donald Trump May Have Actually Freed Jimmy Henchman

Last year, Jimmy Henchman's lawyer claimed that then-President Trump granted his client clemency but never followed through.

Henchman is serving nine life sentences for drug dealing and murder.

According to a signed affidavit by NFL great Jim Brown, who advocated on Henchman's behalf, Trump called Brown on Dec. 18, 2020, and told him that Henchman would be home for Christmas.

But when Henchman's family showed up at Federal prison in West Virginia Jimmy was nowhere to be found.

Since that disappointment, Henchman's legal team has been arguing that based on a Civil War interpretation of the law Trump's verbal promise was enough to get Jimmy out and that Henchman's continued incarceration is unconstitutional.

Earlier this week,  the judge hearing the case ruled in favor of Henchman and is permitting the unprecedented argument to go forward.

“Summary dismissal of the same is not warranted. Therefore, the Warden shall have twenty-eight (28) days from the date of this Order to show cause why the writ should not be granted,” United States Magistrate Judge James W. Mazzone ruled.

If the government can't make their case that Henchman should continue to be locked up -- and doing so may require them to subpoena Trump -- he will go free.

Two of Henchman's life sentences are for arranging the murder of G-Unit affiliate Lowell "Lodi Mack" Fletcher.  The deadly hit is said to be payback for a 2007 attack on Henchman's 14-year old son by Fletcher and G-Unit member Tony Yayo. The murder took place in 2009, weeks after Fletcher got out of jail for the assault on Henchman's boy.

So 50 Cent is definitely following this case.
