21 Savage Says Only People From Atlanta Can Make Trap Music [WATCH]

21 Savage recently stopped by the show Everyday Struggle, where he talked about trap music with hosts Joe Budden and Nadeska Alexis. During their discussion, 21 said only people from Atlanta can make trap music and everyone else is faking it.

"Just 'cause some shit got an 808 [that doesn't mean] it's trap," he said. "These niggas don't know nothing about the trap. The trap is some Atlanta shit. That's where trap comes from."

Then Joe asked if someone is rapping about the trap and selling drugs over trap beat, but they're not from Atlanta, are they making actual trap music?

"Nah," said 21. "It's just like somebody rapping about reggae that's not from Jamaica. [People from Atlanta can only talk about trapping], because we invented the word ... You just got to be from the trap to know what trap is."
