The rap game is somewhat in a slump, sales-wise.
This may be because the best young hustlers have decided to focus on streaming.
According to Adin Ross, he has made over $200,000,000 in two years from streaming on KICK.

That number is unverified. And, like rappers, streamers are known to fake flex.
Nevertheless, Ross does operate like a man who has a lot of cash on hand.
For comparison's sake, Ross's good buddy Drake is trying to get $600 million for his next record contract -- which will cover a timeline considerably longer than two years.
Is the future streaming?
