Last year, AR-Ab and three members of his Original Block Hustlaz (OBH) record label were convicted on several charges of conspiracy and distribution of crack cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine after a two-week trial.

His sentencing is today, and his lawyer has filed an emergency motion to prevent a murder victim's family members from delivering their impact statement during the sentencing.

During the trial, an informant revealed that AR-Ab told him to kill drug dealer Robert Johnson -- which he did -- in exchange for 10K worth of drugs.

AR-Ab's legal team is arguing Johnson family shouldn't be allowed to make any impact statements because AR-Ab was never convicted of the murder.

“Mr. West has never been charged with the murder of Mr. Johnson, much less convicted. The testimony of Stewart at trial did not bear sufficient indicia of reliability to establish any connection between Mr. West and the death of Mr. Johnson.”

The Feds pushed back with their own motion to include the statements.

“At trial, this Court correctly found that the murder was indeed intrinsic to the conspiracy and ruled that the jury should hear evidence of this murder during trial,” United States Attorney Jennifer Arbittier Williams  wrote. “That evidence included that the defendant ordered a co-conspirator drug trafficker to kill a suspected rival drug dealer, and then the defendant paid the co-conspirator with significant quantities of drugs. The defendant offers no compelling justification as to why this Court’s previous findings were erroneous.”

AR-Ab is facing a minimum of 15 years.
