For a minute, Bobby Shmurda looked like he was going to be the next King of New York.
Then he went to prison for seven years and came out a dancin' fool.
He is actually dropping a new album, They Don’t Know, on Friday.
He's doing press for the project and during his stop on DJ Akademik's upholstered chair he was asked if he'd rather have a verse from true New York king JAY-Z or Pop Smoke, who could have been a contender for the crown if he didn't get cut down young during a trip out West.
"Pop Smoke," Bobby said with even a hint of a pause. Then he started mimicking Pop's ad-libs. "That's my hood n*gga. I like it. I love Jay too, but I like it."
