Cardi B Explains Why She Has To Back Away From Doing 'Glittery, Fun, Female' Songs

Cardi B may not be dropping an album this year, but she has a new song coming with New Orleans rapper Rob49.

She talked about the cut on Twitter Spaces this week and explained why she can't always do fun, pop records.

"I wanna let some of y’all also know that I cannot always do glittery, fun, female stuff all the time," said Cardi. "I gotta get to the n*ggas, you know what I'm saying? I'm a whole hood n*gga … Like, I have a gun as my dick ... Y’all can’t always be like, 'Oh my gosh,' like, I can't do all that glittery sh*t.'"

"All my big features are gonna be on my album," she added. "I have good features on my album. So for y'all to be like, 'Oh my God, she's doing all this with that' ... That's why some of y'all, I be feeling like y'all really just live on the internet … I be outside."
