Travis Scott kept pushing back the date for his sophomore album Birds In The Trap Sing McNight.
It looks like building anticipation worked for LaFlame.
According to Hits Daily Double, Birds is expected to move 90 to 105K in its opening week, sales plus streaming.
That should give Scott is first number one album, and tops the 85K his debut album Rodeo did first week.
The album was released as an Apple exclusive, and its strong debut is another victory for Apple's marketing department, which also recently propelled Frank Ocean to the top of the charts.
