Yesterday, the exes were in California court, where Ciara asked a judge to give her full custody of their child Baby Future, claiming Future was a bad father who wasn't present in his son's life anyway.

The judge disagreed, and gave Future joint custody of the boy.

The custody case is independent of the $15 million defamation suit Ciara has going against Future -- and the counter suit Future filed right back.
