With all the big new names in Cleveland this season, Tristan Thompson is somewhat of a forgotten man. But the fourth pick in the 2011 draft had a pretty memorable night yesterday in the Cavs preseason game against Dallas.
First, he got 17 points and 11 rebounds. Then he planted a kiss on sideline reporter Allie Clifton.
As you can see, Tristan starts winking and flirting about halfway through the interview. However, he calls Allie by the wrong name. It's unclear if he was kissing her to make up for calling her Tina, or he thought he was kissing a sideline reporter named Tina.
Whatever the reason, somewhere Joe Namath is jealous.
As for Clifton ... she certainly was surprised.
While the incident seemed innocent enough, it sets a weird precedent. So we wouldn't be surprised if Thompson gets a call from the league office.
