Drake Raps About Getting Robbed At Gunpoint & Losing His Watch & Chain

Drake reflects back on a dark incident in his life on his new mixtape Dark Lane Demo Tapes.

In 2009, Drake was robbed in his hometown of Toronto after a dinner date. The thieves took $2,000 in cash, an Audemars Piguet watch, and a diamond chain his mentor and Young Money boss Lil Wayne had gifted him. He spoke on the incident on the mixtape cut "From Florida With Love."

"Weezy played that shit for me and Kobe on the bus
Went and got a chain for me, I had to give it up (Yeah)
Niggas had they pistols loaded pointed at my truck, ayy

From that day I never touched the road without a (Plugg)

While it's true Drake hasn't been robbed since (as far as we know) the next year T.I.'s guy did take a leak on him.
