Drake doesn't just dominate Spotify. He also runs Apple.
Drake's album Views was the most streamed and downloaded album on iTunes and Apple Music in 2016, and his hit 'One Dance' was the most streamed and downloaded single.
On the albums list, Drake was followed by Rihanna's Anti, Adele's 25, Frank Ocean's Blonde and Justin Bieber's Purpose, in that order.
The top five singles were 'One Dance', Justin Timberlake's 'Can't Stop the Feeling' Rihanna's 'Work,' Flo Rida's 'My House' and Lukas Graham's '7 Years.'
Artists who debuted their albums on Apple, like Drake and Ocean did, had an obvious advantage on this list.
Although in Drake's case he was also streamed a record 4.7 billion times on Spotify, so his Apple #'s seem legit.
