Fat Joe Explains Why 2024 Was Hip Hop's Worst Year Ever

Fat Joe talked about the state of Hip Hop while visiting Math Hoffa's My Expert Opinion podcast.

In his opinion, 2024 has been the absolute worst year for the genre due to the high profile arrests and lawsuits.

Diddy is now sitting in jail after being charged with sex trafficking and other crimes. Meanwhile, Jay-Z is fighting against a claim that he raped a 13-year-old girl with Diddy in 2000. [Jump to the 1:50 mark]

"I was just having a heated discussion with my people," said Joe. "This might be the worst year ever in Hip Hop history type sh*t. This sh*t bad. All our legends, all our mentors getting scrutinized. This is the worst time to be a celebrity in the history of mankind. I’m not sure you guys wanna be celebrities."

"Like I got friends who are filthy rich that wanna be popping and wanna be a celebrity," he continued. "I don’t think they want everybody in they sh*t like that. This sh*t crazy out here. This is nuts. The f*cking world done changed on me. It’s f*cking nuts out here. You can’t make it up."
