Melle Mel was not happy when Eminem was named by the fifth-best rapper of all time by Billboard.

According to the OG, if Eminem was Black he wouldn't be anywhere near that high.

“If Eminem was just another n*gga like all the rest of us, would he be top five on that list, when a n*gga that can rhyme just as good as him is 35," Melle said.  "If he was a Black rapper, he wouldn’t even make the list probably."

Fat Joe and Papoose disagree.  

"I disagree with that because even though Eminem is Caucasian, you can not front on his skillset, man. You can’t deny that skillset," Papoose said during a discussion of Melle's comments.  "Nah.  You can put that skillset on any nationality."

"As much as I love and worship Melle Mel, I think he’s wrong with this one," Joe added.

50 Cent has also defended Em, but in a less respectful way to Mel.

In addition to shading Shady, Mell argued that Kendrick Lamar had no business being rated the number two rapper of all time by Billboard.
