Fetty Wap sat down with DJ Akademiks on Wednesday, December 22 and talked about his 2015 remix of "My Way," featuring Drake

According to Fetty, the song was supposed to be a breakout song for his Remy Boyz crew member Monty. But Fetty didn't put the remix on his album, which seemed to ruin his relationship with Drake.

“That was Monty’s breakthrough record,” Fetty explained. “When we first did the record, I asked [Drake], ‘Yo, could you just take my verse off and keep Monty up there and just leave me on the hook?' ... The first and last time I ever spoke to him is when he asked me to get on the song and that was it. I haven’t even seen him in person yet."

“I reached out to [Drake] maybe like 2019. I hit him and nothing,” added the Jersey rapper, who's now facing life in prison after being accused of being part of a drug ring. “Then, when I didn’t put [the 'My Way' remix] on the album, he was probably like, ‘Who the f*ck this n*gga think he is?'”

Does Fetty's story surprise you in any way?
