In 2015, Fetty Wap was riding high with his smash single "Trap Queen" and he was able to follow that up with other hits like "679."

But in November of 2021, the New Jersey rapper was accused of being part of a drug ring that sold heroin and fentanyl. Fetty was released on a $500,000 bond and is now facing life in prison.

In an interview with Fat Joe, he spoke about a bunch of topics, including why his music career suffered after his hit singles and successful debut album.

"If I could say so myself, I'd say it was more so the people I had around me wasn't experienced," Fetty explained. "Like, nobody was experienced, honestly ... In the process, I'm tryin' to figure out why this goin' on, why this goin' on, and then you know, the finance part, like yo, what's up with this, what's up with that ... For the tours, I put up all the bread for the tours. I paid for all the tour buses. Everything came out of my expenses. It was like, I gotta pay y'all but I'm paying for everything else."

What's your reaction to Fetty's explanation?
