In this week's chart news, 2 Chainz posted his best opening in five years and Young Thug avoids disaster.

According to Hits Daily Double, 2 Chainz's album Pretty Girls Like Trap Music moved 93,852 in its first week, with 45K of those traditional album sales.

That's Tity Boi's biggest opening since his debut album Based on a T.R.U. Story did 147K, and is enough to finish second on the album chart to Lorde's Melodrama (111K).

Young Thug's debut studio album Beautiful Thugger Girls was the mystery of the week as it never showed up in any of the projections, leading to speculation he pulled a Troy Ave.

It turns out he did 32,115. Those aren't good numbers for an artist with Thugger's hype, but it's not a total disaster.

The likely reason the projection systems weren't picking him up is that he only moved 6,342 traditional albums -- which is 40th on the chart -- and streams are later to report.

In other chart news, Kendrick Lamar's DAMN. keeps rolling with another 73,903 and Big Boi's Boomiverse did 19,647 in its opening week.
