First Week Numbers For G-Eazy, Rick Ross, Curren$y, Kid Cudi & Jeremih

It was not a good week for Hip Hop album releases. Unless your name was G-Eazy.

According to Hits Daily Double, The Bay Area emcee sold 97,000 (sales plus streaming) of his sophomore album When It’s Dark Out.

While that was a good and somewhat surprising showing, things didn't go as well for Rick Ross, whose Black Market sputtered with 57K sales plus streaming. It was the worst opening of the Bawse's eight album career, and it made 50 Cent -- who had been mocking Ross's projections -- very happy.

Other debuts included Curren$y's Canal Street Confidential (18k SPS) and Kid Cudi's Speedin Bullet 2 Heaven (15K SPS). Jeremih's Late Nights: The Album didn't even make the top 50, meaning it sold fewer than 14K.

Both Cudi and Jeremih's albums were plagued with marketing issues.

Did you hear any good albums this week?
