Future is the ring-leader for the release of the Superfly motion picture soundtrack, so he has a big presence and influence on the project.

Director X had something to say about the release:

I wanted the current sound of Atlanta, so I hunted [Future] down. We were doing the Gap commercial with him and Cher. I normally don't mix things up, but we just started talking about [working on Superfly] on set.

It was also just about a week ago where Future had a few comments himself, revealing the features on the album also include Lil Wayne, Young Thug, 21 Savage, Miguel, Khalid, H.E.R., Sleepy Brown, and Gunna.

The full release follows the singles "Bag" with Yung Bans, Walk On Minks, and "No Shame" featuring PartyNextDoor.

The original Superfly came with Curtis Mayfield's classic Soul/ Funk soundtrack being that it was set in vintage Harlem, New York. 2018's Superfly takes place in the current Hip Hop Mecca, Atlanta, GA.
