Earlier this week, B.G. was released from prison after serving 11 years of a 14-year sentence for weapon possession and witness tampering.

His family and his old boss, Birdman, greeted him outside the gates.

While he's mostly a free man, the 43-year-old will be under the supervision of the court for another two years.

He must attend a mandatory drug and alcohol treatment program and another life skills course.  He must obtain a GED and is barred from possessing firearms or other dangerous weapons.

There will be 400 hours of community service, and he must submit his DNA to a database.
