It's been over a month since iLoveMakonnen revealed that he's gay.
In a new interview he explained that moving to Portland helped him come out.
"Portland is a place where everyone is being themselves, so I just felt like I'm living here, and I want to be able to be myself," he told the Willamette Week. "I guess that's why I call it my home now ... I kind of fit in and just do my own thing."Plus, Makonnen said he was attracted to the city's weed laws and liked the number of vegan restaurants he could eat at. He didn't, however, address Migos' recent comments.
You can read the entire interview here. In it, the 'Tuesday' artist also talks about Portland's music scene.
