When Lil Pump started to break out about a year ago, he was fond of saying "Fuck J. Cole. The teen even recorded a track called "Fuck J. Cole."

Cole responded to all of that in his KOD track "1985".

Now Cole and Pump are friends, and they recently interviewed each other in North Carolina.

During the chat, Cole asked Pump about why he started saying "Fuck J. Cole."

Pump answered that he didn't come up with it or even understood it at first, but just attached himself to it because he was trolling.

"Now, I kinda of get it. You make a different type of music," Pump explained. "Now everybody saying Fuck Russ. People just like doing that shit."

Pump added that now he respects Cole's music.

The entire hour-long interview is below. It's not the most compelling video you're going to see because Pump is barely awake for much of it. Although the 17-year-old does shock Cole by telling him that he only started rapping about two years ago. Skip to the 33-minute mark to hear Pump on the "Fuck J. Cole" movement.
