Joyner Lucas said Eminem uses the same kind of style that he used on "Stan" for a new song they have together.
"We got some joints," said Joyner while speaking to Hot 97. "We got one coming out. This next record that I release with Marshall is going to be a storytelling record and I promise, nobody has heard him rap like this since 'Stan.' This is vintage 'Stan' storytelling. His best."
Joyner also said that Em was one of the first rappers he respected who mentioned his name, and before that he felt dissed by other artists.
"I always felt frustrated," he admitted. "The Kendricks, the Coles, the Drakes, I know they all know who I am. I was never acknowledged by them, but then I started realizing they don't have to acknowledge me. But I thought Eminem was too far-fetched."
It's safe to say that people are still peeling back the lyrical layers to Em and Joyner's "Lucky You" collab, off Em's Kamikaze album. Joyner also just dropped the cut "I Love," the first single off his forthcoming ADHD album not too long ago.
Do you want to hear Em return to "Stan" form, or would you rather he left that style back in the year 2000? You can hear Joyner talk about Em below at the 11:00 minute mark.
