[Updated below with open letter.]

Over the weekend, Kanye West suggested he was going to put Jan Adams,  the plastic surgeon who performed his mother's final surgery, on the cover his upcoming album

Donda West died on November 10, 2007, due to post-operation complications after surgery for breast reductions and other procedures.

According to Ye, he is going to put Adams on the cover because he wants to love and forgive.

The Blast reached out to Adams and asked him what he thought of being Kanye's cover boy.

"It's a MacGuffin" he said, simply.

A MacGuffin is defined as "an object, event, or character in a film or story that serves to set and keep the plot in motion despite usually lacking intrinsic importance."

So he's basically saying he's a plot device, but that the story has nothing to do with him.

Adams has had a rough go since operating on West's mom. He's lost his medical license twice due to alcohol-related offenses and two large malpractice judgments against him have come to light.

A Kanye cover is the last things he needs.

Update: Adams tells 'Ye to cease and desist putting his image on the album and explains that he didn't kill his mom. But it's all love.
