Chicago rapper Lil Zay Osama called an Uber on Thursday to take him from the Manhattan hotel he was staying in to a recording studio in Queens.

He took his retro-fitted machine gun with him on the trip because of course he did.

The Uber driver noticed the weapon when Osama was in the car, and he certainly noticed it when Osama left it in the car by mistake.

The driver called the police after Osama got out of the vehicle and then helped them identify him.

Lil Zay was on Live when the NYPD tracked him down and arrested him.

The 25-year-old has been charged with possession of a machine gun and being a felon in possession of a firearm.  He faces 20 years and has been denied bail.

“The crimes charged in this case are extremely serious and confirm that [Lil Zay] is a danger to the community,” Brooklyn Assistant US Attorney Rebecca Schuman said. “For one, [Lil Zay] possessed a particularly deadly weapon that had been converted from a handgun capable of shooting just one bullet each time the trigger is squeezed to having the capability of firing until the trigger is lifted.”

Lil Zay may have rapped about the gun in question in his 2021 track "Danny Block."

"Ayy, I just got a brand new Glock with a fifty and a switch," he spite.

Not a good gun to be caught with in NYC.
