Kanye's 2016 project The Life Of Pablo was famously a "living" album

"In the months to come, Kanye will release new updates, new versions, and new iterations of the album. An innovative, continuous process, the album will be a living, evolving art project,"  read a press release on TLOP.

His latest effort Ye may also be alive.

When the album's opening track "I Thought About Killing You" was first revealed, he rapped this in the middle of the final verse.

If I wasn't shinin' so hard, wouldn't be no shade
Buckwheat-ass nigga, it's 'gon be otay
Young nigga shit, nigga, we don't age

Now, in the clean version of the track, he adds a line about slavery.

“If I wasn’t shinin’ so hard, wouldn’t be no shade
Buckwheat-ass n*gga, it’s ‘gon be otay
Sorry but I chose not to be no slave
Young n*gga shit, n*gga, we don’t age”

Of course, Kanye got everybody talking in the run-up to Ye by visiting the TMZ offices and declaring slavery "a choice."

We don't know yet if the new, provocative line is just for the clean version or if it will also be added to the original.
