Former Bad Boy rapper Loon was released from prison last month after spending eight years there. He was caught trafficking heroin in Belgium in 2012 and pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute one kilogram or more of heroin.

He converted to Islam while locked up and changed his name to Amir Junaid Muhadith. The Harlem native is probably most known for being on Diddy's 2002 single "I Need a Girl (Part 1)," which also featured Usher.  

During an interview with The Breakfast Club, Muhadith explained why he walked away from the music industry. He also said that his relationship with Diddy got "tarnished" over business. [Jump to 12:16 mark to hear Muhadith's comments on Diddy].

"My relationship with Puff, we had great fun and we got along swell," he explained. "But then some of the hiccups would come down to business. Especially business that's already mandated and confirmed."

Muhadith, who said that Diddy has sent him messages but they haven't spoken yet, also explained that he stopped making music once he converted to Islam. He said that Hip Hop just doesn't mesh with his new lifestyle or religious beliefs.
