Today, the rap world is celebrating the release of Bobby Shmurda after he did over six years.

Mac from No Limit, who's served  21 years for a crime he says he's innocent of, looks to be heading home soon after the Louisiana parole board’s unanimously voted that he be released.

Mac, 43, got a 30 year to life sentence for manslaughter after he was convicted of shooting 19-year-old Barron C Victor, Jr, who was trying to break up a fight at a club.  There have long been accusations that the police intimidated witnesses into fingering Mac as the shooter and a security guard had confessed to the shooting before they went after Mac.

In the late 90s, Mac released two solo albums and one album as part of the 504 Boyz on No Limit.  His debut album Shell Shocked was a moderate hit.
