The name of Machine Gun Kelly's upcoming movie is now being changed after Mac Miller's brother Miller McCormick sent a heated message.
The film is about the final days of a famous and troubled musician, which is inspired by the deaths of Lil Peep, Juice Wrld, Pop Smoke, and Mac Miller. Plus, the film's title is Good News, the same as Mac's single on his posthumous album Circles.
"F*ck you, f*ck your movie," wrote Mac's brother on social media. "At least change the title."
His message got a lot of attention and was seen by the film's producers, who announced the title change.
“Our film is about a fictional musician on the rise with a troubled life,”read their statement. “It’s not in any way a biopic or based on any artist’s true life. We realize the title, which was intended as an homage to Mac Miller and other artists gone too soon feels disrespectful. We’ve heard from many people on social media who have found offense with the title, so without hesitation we will change it."
