MGK also had pain and body fluids in mind when he designed the engagement ring he gave to his bride-to-be.

As he explained to Vogue:

“It’s a thoroughbred Colombian emerald, with no treatment,” he said. “It was just carved into the teardrop, straight out of the mine. And the diamond was directly from Stephen.
