Mathew Knowles Says If Beyonce Was Darker She Wouldn't Be As Famous

Mathew Knowles said that his daughter Beyoncé's light skin has really helped her in the entertainment business and suggested if she were darker, she wouldn't be as big of a star.

“When it comes to black females, who are the people who get their music played on pop radio?” asked Knowles during an interview with Ebony. “Mariah Carey, Rihanna, the female rapper Nicki Minaj, my kids [Beyoncé and Solange] and what do they all have in common?”
