Mike Krzyzewski To Retire; Duke Names Replacement

Legendary college basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski will retire after next season.

Coach K has spent 41 seasons at Duke, winning five national championships, the second-most ever to John Wooden's 1o.

Associate head coach Jon Scheyer will succeed Krzyzewski as head coach and will spend the 2021-2022 season as coach-in-waiting.

Scheyer, 33, starred on Duke's 2010 national championship team and recruited players like Zion Williamson and Jayson Tatum to Duke.

Coach K also won six Gold Medals as Team USA coach.
