Producer Mike Will Made-It used to go by the more traditional name Mike Will.

But that -- and a whole lot of other things -- changed when he met Gucci Mane.

Gucci was the first rapper who paid for his beats. It was on one those early beats that Mike's new name came to be.

Gucci fans will recognize the line "Mike Will made it, Gucci Mane slayed it/Star status nigga everybody upgraded" from the Gucci track 'Star Status.'

That was the first time anybody had used "Mike Will" and "made it" together. But it was so catchy that everybody starting calling him Mike Will Made-It after that, and the moniker stuck.
