Nas Names His Five Favorite 'New Generation' Emcees

It's been over 22 years since Illmatic.

So you can call Nas an OG.

But he still has his eyes on what's next, and he was quick to drop his top five list when asked during an interview with Revolt TV who his favorite "New Generation" emcees are.

"J. Cole, Kendrick, Drake, Wayne, Rick Ross," Nas answered.

Lil Wayne's inclusion in a list of the "new" generation is debatable because a teenage Weezy was all over the charts not so long after Illmatic dropped.
