Nipsey Hussle's alleged getaway driver said she's scared of retaliation, so the LAPD wants to give her protection.

The woman, known only as Witness 1, is a key police witness in Hussle's murder. TMZ reports the LAPD has already confirmed there were serious threats against her, and she's just not being paranoid.

Detectives also told a grand jury that the woman's license plate number, a description of her vehicle and her appearance were all over social media a little after Hussle was shot. So it won't be hard for people to track her down.

The LAPD said it's "very important" the woman receive their protection, and they may have to put her into hiding

The woman, who testified under immunity, told the grand jury that she was with the murder suspect Eric Holder on March 31 when he pulled up to a strip mall where the Marathon Clothing sits. She said Holder told her to park behind the strip mall and saw him get out of the car with a handgun. The woman said she was also romantically involved with the suspect.
