Fresh off his new single "Neck & Wrist," featuring Jay-Z, Pusha T spoke to Interview Magazine about his forthcoming album It's Almost Dry.

During the chat, the former Clipse member talked about his drug raps and said he wants to be compared to the man  who's made gritty mob flicks like Goodfellas, Casino, The Departed, and The Irishman.

"I’m trying to become the Martin Scorsese of street rap. I want that brand," said Push.

Afterward, the rapper responded to critics who says all he raps about is drug sales.

“I have to tune it out,” Pusha explained. “Everything that’s being done right now is all out of love, all out of the competitive spirit, out of the honest act of living a lifestyle. My parents told me rap wouldn’t last 20 years.”

Would you call Pusha the Martin Scorsese or rap?
