OKC is going to be a "super team" this year, with a roster that includes Russell Westbrook and newcomers Paul George and Carmelo Anthony.

When it comes to their paychecks, there's going to be no doubt who the top dog is.

Westbrook, the league's reigning MVP, just signed a five-year, $205 million contract extension.

The deal starts in 2018-19.  Add the $28 million he's slated to make this year and you get six seasons and $233 million -- the biggest guaranteed contract in league history.

"We are extremely fortunate to have an athlete, competitor and person such as Russell wear the Thunder uniform," OKC GM Sam Presti said in statement. "To have him cement his legacy as a leader as we enter into our 10th season in Oklahoma City is extraordinary. I am extremely grateful to Russell, his family and to our ownership for the commitment and support that they have demonstrated in supporting our vision for the Thunder."
Westbrook also weighed in on the historic deal:

"When you play in Oklahoma City you play in front of the best fans in the world, I'm looking forward to bringing everything I've got, for them, this city and for this organization. WHY NOT?

WHY NOT??

Westbrook signed the deal on Kevin Durant's 29th birthday. His old running mate will "only" make $51.25 million over the last two years of his deal with Golden State.

Is Westbrook worth all of that cash?
