Russell Westbrook spoke about Paul George leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder in a new interview with Sports Illustrated.
George was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers over the summer, and Westbrook was traded to the Houston Rockets shortly after to join his old teammate James Harden. Westbrook said he wasn't surprised by George's trade at all.
“I can’t be surprised if me and Paul were in communication the whole time,” Westbrook explained. “So I wouldn’t say I was surprised at all. I’m all for doing what’s best for my teammates. If Paul felt like it was time for him to move on and explore options, then I’mma back him. That’s the type of relationship we have.”
Do you think George or Westbrook ended up in a better place?
