Tekashi 6ix9ine's Texas Assault Case Dismissed

Remember last year when Tekashi was arrested for roughing up a kid who took his photo in a Houston area mall?

He's no longer going to have to face those charges. Harris County has tossed the misdemeanor assault count against 6ix9ine because the complaining witness Santiago Albarran (the kid he attacked) requested that the case be dismi$$ed.

That doesn't mean they have to dismiss the case. But there was another factor involved. Harris County prosecutors say moving Tekashi to Texas is a "security risk" since he's cooperated with the Feds in his notorious racketeering case.

In other words, because he's a snitch he's too dangerous to prosecute.

“Mr. Hernandez has not been notified yet of the dismissal. We plan to notify him today. I am happy the prosecutors handling this case did what was fair and just today in Dismissing the charge against Mr. Hernandez. We hope that getting this case behind him will assist in him moving forward with his career," 6ix9ine's lawyer said in statement.

6ix9ine is currently in a federal facility for government witnesses. He is expected to be released on December 18, his next court date. If he is, he will have served about a year federal time.

Now Texas time is completely off the table.
