Kanye West had a field day of dissing people during his 2021 Drink Champs interview. John Legend was on the receiving end, as was Common, Big Sean, and Talib Kweli.

"If you ask 99 percent of people, ‘Do you want to be Kweli or do you wanna be Ye?’ Most people are gonna wanna be Ye. I love Kweli. I never really liked the way he rapped," said Ye. "I’m sorry ... I never f*cked with your raps ... Now I’m really gone have to fight this man. There’s gone be ten n*ggas with fitted caps from 12 years ago chasing me."

Kweli responded when he visited Drink Champs with his Black Star brethren Yasiin Bey and their close friend Dave Chappelle. The interview was recorded some time ago but was recently released.

"That was good time," said Kwa. "It felt like having a hit record out. The way that I remember that ‘Get By’ was out. It reminded me of what Kanye mean to the culture. The hat sh*t was funny to me, it was hilarious ... I had to have fun with it because I got a lot of love for Kanye. There was underlying context behind it. It had nothing to do with bars or baseball hats or none of that ... He’s got a huge platform and I love him. That’s my brother… So this is all very conflicting and different."

Do you believe that Kweli really laughed off the diss or is he fudging the truth some?
