Back in 2016, Troy Ave and Taxstone got into a shooting fight backstage at a T.I. show at Irving Plaza in New York city
Troy Ave's bodyguard Ronald “Banga” McPhatter was killed in the gunfire and DNA suggests that Taxstone fired the shot that did him in.
Taxstone has already pleaded guilty to receiving a firearm in interstate commerce with the intent to commit another felony and possessing a firearm after having previously been convicted of a felony.
However, he pleaded not guilty to murder charges for killing McPhatter.
After numerous delays, Taxstone's murder trial will start on November 2.
Troy is expected to take the stand to testify against Taxstone. The podcaster is facing life in prison
