Tekashi 6ix9ine stopped by The Breakfast Club today and explained why he didn't show up at his performance at SXSW's World Star showcase last week when J. Prince Jr. came looking for him. According to the Brooklyn rapper, who was the show's headliner, J. Prince Jr. was allowed to be on stage as the opening acts performed and the show's organizers told him security was too scared to remove the Houston rap scion.

"It's started looking like a set-up to me," Tekashi, who said he showed up to the venue, explained. "I said, 'Wassup with the security? They allowing that? How am I supposed to give your venue, your crowd a good performance?' I'm supposed to be looking over my back while I'm performing? I'm not about to get WorldStarred on a WorldStar stage."

Charlamagne then asked Tekashi why he didn't approach Prince Jr. if he claims to be so tough.

"There's a difference between being gangsta and being stupid," he said. "I let my nuts hang, right? But am I gonna go against a 100 niggas that wanna get me? Or be the smarter person and be like 'Stupid, I'm not gonna let you get the chance to Worldstar me and violate me when I could be the bigger person  ... I'm not gonna let you trick me in taking an L."

Tekashi added that he was still paid for the show, even though he never performed.
