'You'll See' was The Lox's first track with Bad Boy.

When they went to record it in 1996, they hadn't met anyone at the label besides Puff Daddy. Nevertheless, Puff threw Bad Boy's biggest star, The Notorious B.I.G., on the track.

Biggie handles 'You'll See''s final verse, and starts his bars with "Niggas talkin' it but ain't livin' it/Crystal pops I'm sippin' it, mob hats and lizard shit."

Jadakiss, Styles P and Sheek Louch believe that Big's opening words were a shot at them, since they had just rapped about fancy material things they didn't have yet.

"That was like ‘I’mma rhyme with y’all. Y’all dope, but let me get at y’all real quick too,'” Styles P said about Biggie’s attitude toward them. "We was talking what we wanted," he continued. "He was talking what he already had."
Despite taking the shot, Big made it clear it was all love.

"He embraced us with open arms,” said Jadakiss, “He told us he was glad he was down with us. He gave us the whole run down, ‘Welcome to the family. Let’s get money,'" Sheek added.
