"Highest In The Room" has been one of Travis Scott's biggest hits.  

He may have stolen it.

TMZ reports Danish producer Benjamin Lasnier is suing Scott for swiping much of the track from him

According to the docs, obtained by TMZ, Lasnier says he wrote and recorded the guitar refrain featured in Trav's hit song, 'Highest,' back in early 2019 ... which he then started shopping around to different producers, engineers and even artists themselves.

He says he also posted this guitar recording on his IG stories 3 different times -- although it's unclear if he still has them up or not for reference. Either way, Lasnier says he put it out there to more than 700k followers.

Lasnier claims his work got to Scott through Jamie Lepr, who works with Scott, after he sent Lepr a beat pack that included the guitar melody.  Lasnier says he never authorized Lepr to give the melody to Scott and only noticed he had when he heard "Highest In The Room."

"Highest In The Room" hit number one on the Billboard chart and made over $20 million, so Lasnier wants credit and a cut.

Scott's legal team is dismissing the lawsuit as "a frivolous dispute between producers and has nothing to do with Travis directly."

Last year, Scott settled a $20 million lawsuit brought by DJ Paul  for swiping his hook from the Three 6 Mafia cut "Tear Da Club Up" and putting it on his Astroworld track "No Bystanders."
