Waka Flocka Flame fully supports the black players in the NFL who are protesting racial inequality by kneeling during the national anthem.
But Waka is offering the support from the perspective of a Native American.
"I have no African descendant in my blood. I'm a Native American. LIterally, I'm a Cherokee, I'm a Blackfoot, I'm a Redtail Indian," he said on Ebro in the Morning. "That's what in my blood. The other is mixed with European. And for somebody to tell me not to kneel. You crazy. A lot of people in America is indigenous people you're not from Africa. "That's crazy man, for you to tell somebody, like, 'Yo, stand up to this flag.' Nigga do you know what this flag did to us?" Waka continued. "Like, when is it gonna come the time when these players is respected? You know what I'm saying? Even, like, Kaepernick. For shorty to even kneel down, bro. That's deep. That's deep. That ain't got nothing to do with Black Power, that's deep. That's human rights."Waka went on to say he deleted his ESPN app after they suspended Jemele Hill for her comments about boycotting advertisers who support anti-knelling NFL owners.
