In 1998 Talib Kweli and Yasiin Bey, formerly known as Mos Def, released their debut album as the group Black Star, considered to be a classic.

Since then fans have been clamoring for a follow-up LP and it seems they got their wish when Talib said a new Black Star album was on the way, produced solely by Madlib.

Then months later, Talib said that he washed his hands of the project because there were too many outsiders trying to capitalize financially.

Now Bey has addressed the possibility of a second album and said he won't be forced to do it.

“You motherf*ckers don’t get to tell me what to do with what I make," he said on Talib's People’s Party Podcast. "It’s between me and God ... I appreciate your enthusiasm, but that sh*t is not a steering wheel on my back for you to start f*cking spinning and doing donuts like I’m disappointing you. If you want the next Black Star album that bad you make it. Oh, that’s right, you can’t.”

Any response to Bey's words?
