It's been a year and a half since Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed in front of his clothing store in Los Angeles. 

One could say that besides The Game, YG has been the rapper who's spoken about Nipsey the most, whether in interviews or on social media.

But YG told the Los Angeles Times that he won't be talking about him as much and gave an explanation.

“I want to let the homie rest,” he said. “I’m not gonna fall back and just talk about bro in interviews. Not just in breath, but on my records.”

About six months after Nipsey was killed, YG accused people of showing the late rapper "fake love," which he talked about during an interview on Big Boy's Neighborhood.

"I wanna say, I hate the fact...I hate how all these people comin' outta nowhere sayin' all this Nipsey sh*t when he passed," YG said. "I just just wish the homie would have knew that these people f*cked wit' him when he was alive. You know what I'm sayin'? That fake sh—That sh*t fake. Ain't nobody f*ckin' with that. They liable to get slapped. You feel me, when some real ones come across 'em. We'll slap n*ggas, bro. Stop playin'. Yeah, man. TMC. Nip, I love you. I'm glad I got all the moments and the memories. I'm glad about the real conversations we had. I used to tell bro he was different. I used to tell him this, so I'm glad that I got to tell him."
