More details have emerged in the shooting of Slim 400,

TMZ reports that he was on the phone with his business partner when he was shot during a driveby in Compton Friday night. The gunmen then jumped out of the car to shoot the Cali native some more before speeding off. 

Slim took nine bullets in all and was hit in his upper and lower back, the top of his head and his jaw. His jaw is now wired shut, and he's still heavily sedated. But he's expected to make a full recovery.

YG, Slim's friend, spoke about the shooting and confirmed that he's going to pull thru.

"Homey alive don't even worry about nothing," he said.
