Yo Gotti Explains Why There's Nothing Wrong With Giving An Artist A 360 Deal

A lot of artists speak badly of 360 deals, but Yo Gotti said there's nothing wrong with them.

In music, a 360 deal is when a label gets a piece of everything an artist makes, not just their recordings, whether it's concert money, merch, paid speaking engagements, or something else.

"I think Hov said, ‘What’s 100 percent of 0?’ So to me, you ain’t thinking logical when you think you get everything and nobody get nothing from you. That’s not common sense, bro," said Gotti on the Earn Your Leisure podcast.

"Say it’s a brand new artist who walk out this building today," he continued. "What’s your value today? How much you getting for a show today? How many records you selling today, how much merch you selling today? Nothing. You grossing $500 a year  ... So now let’s say us three put the money in, put the work in, now you making $500 million a year or $5 million, whatever. We not supposed to get none of that?"

Irv Gotti had a similar stance on this, although he was talking about not giving an artist their masters.
