Young Chop's Brother Johnny May Cash Was Shot To Death by Girlfriend He Beat

Johnny May Cash, the younger brother of Young Chop and one of Lil Durk's early collaborators, was shot and killed early Sunday morning.

His death was almost immediately tied to a viral video from earlier this year that showed him beating a woman.

That woman has now likely killed him

Chicago police say a woman claiming to be Cash’s girlfriend has admitted to shooting him.

She says it was self-defense.

According to Brianna Gibbs, Cash attacked her, pulling out a chunk of her hair.  A struggle ensued and Cash's gun dropped to the ground.  She picked it up and fired it at him when he kept coming at her.

After killing Cash, she was treated at the hospital for bruises on her legs and chest and a split lip that required stitches.

Gibbs has been arrested and is out on a $100,000 bond.  Gibbs is said to be the woman Cash was caught on tape beating earlier this year.  Cash also faced domestic violence charges in 2015 and 2017 but the cases were dropped.

Gibbs is due back in court for killing Cash on May 9.
